I've visited Brownstones three or four times now, and I've also gotten takeout twice. I love trying new things, but I've only ever ordered one item each time I've visited. I plan to diversify my orders on future visits, but I have to rave about their French toast bites. They're not your typical diner fare - the consistency is perfect, and they're fried to perfection with great dough. I always add extra fruit and a side of caramel dipping sauce along with the maple syrup. It might not be the healthiest choice, but it definitely hits the spot. I'm excited to try more of their menu items because I know I need to move beyond this fixation at some point!! :P I do have some issues with the seating, though. I prefer being seated outside because the inside can be chaotic and very overstimulating. That's the only downside for me. Additionally, it can take a long time to be seated, which is understandable given how busy the place is. However, if you're someone who gets easily overstimulated, I recommend opting for outdoor seating when it's available. The takeout is okay, but the quality doesn't quite match up to dining in. I would always recommend eating at the restaurant for the best experience. The staff are kind and accommodating, and I've never felt rushed or ignored. They are attentive and do a great job.

We did a walk in on a Sunday around 11am. The wait time was just about 45 mins for 2 people, however it took longer and I think we only got seated because I reminded them we were still waiting. We sat and ordered but our food took a really long time. We noticed other tables that sat after us order and get their food immediately, even leaving while we had just started eating. Our waitress wasn't very friendly either. I got the special chorizo sandwich and my husband the avocado eggs Benedict. We also split the fruit pancakes. My sandwich was really really good (although it was missing the spicy mayo). Home fries were interesting, they had a deep fried texture which I wasn't a fan of. The eggs Benedict were tasty too but the hollandaise sauce was light and runny, not rich at all. The pancakes were good and a huge proton however they were nothing out of this world and tasted quite ordinary. Their passion green tea was some of the best hot tea I've ever had. Overall service could improve, and food isn't anything crazy but all the options make it tempting to go back and if tour craving a standard breakfast place this will do.

Came in after this place has been recommended by several friends and family and it did not disappoint. We visited on a Monday around 9:30 am and didn't have an issue getting seating. But by the time we left (around 10:30) the place was starting to fill up. I can imagine on the weekends it gets fairly crowded. Parking was also limited. While we were conflicted on what to order (everything looked so good) we ultimately ordered the start your day, chicken and waffles and a side of the french toast bites. Everything was great, the stand out being the french toast bites. Service was fast and attentive throughout the meal.
